a vegetable stand that specializes in tomatoes. they cost a ton, but if you need the best tomato, this would be the place to go, and it’s definitely is recognizable.

Love the use of this large flexible bucket by Barcelona street cleaners. Given the large diameter, they use it as a dustpan without having to bend over very far. Or it can serve another purpose to hold other contents as a regular container.

A lot of variety in Barcelona’s metro stations, but nothing particularly interesting. Though I do like the brown tile, makes it feel like brick… warms up the space to feel less ‘underground’.

At the DMV office, next to the form stack, 4(!) pen vending machines, selling ball points for 25 cents each. Only competing against human kindness or forgetfulness.

This ultra rugged NYC bus handle stands in contrast to the leather straps of Budapest. It rotates to the side to get out if the way from the corridor.

Riding Budapest’s old metro line as well as an old bus, I was happy to see the leather straps still preserved. There is such a great feeling to holding these I think that no plastic can match. They adapt perfectly to hand making a comfortable grip during a bumpy bus ride.

A couple weeks ago I passed by the market on my way home to get a couple peaches. The guy at the fruit and vegetable stall packed my peaches in the best way… a sheet paper skillfully folded that I can take home and re-use to doodle.
